Chris Townsend
Script Reader / Coverage Writer
Each script has its own frequency, its own story. This is something I understand well, and am able to tune into with precision, thoughtfulness and vigour. My early background and training in devised theatre provided me a very early base in being able to collaborate in building story worlds from the ground up. I then completed an undergrad in Film and Creative Writing, with a focus on screenwriting, before circling back to a career in acting and theatre making, all of which have informed my approach in appreciating and appraising a range of texts of varying scales – from small touring theatre, commercials, TV and feature film. I continue to carry this open and playful approach through in my script reading and coverage, which is one of detailed and active collaboration. I aim to give you a highly perceptive, agile, and honest viewpoint, where the goal is quite simply getting a script as good as it possibly can be.
Since graduating with distinction from Screen Academy Scotland’s MA Screenwriting Programme I have worked as a reader, coverage writer, and judge for a range of production companies, film festivals, and consultation services, most recently including Script Up. You can also currently find me as part of the hosting team on Scribe Lounge – the UK’s biggest growing online network hub for screenwriters – that runs a range of workshops, development and training sessions.
I’m currently developing a range of tv and feature projects, and my own work often leans towards exploring themes of the surrogate family that we choose, or finding a sense of belonging or purpose in an incredibly chaotic and often aimless world – with common lean towards sci-fi, comedy, or adventure. My dissertation feature Seven 66 and TV pilot OceanSaga are currently receiving some contest recognition.

Leo Ritchie
Photographer
Leo Ritchie is an Edinburgh-based, fine-art nude photographer. His past four years have been spent in Hong Kong and East Asia, where his appreciation for capturing the human form first developed. Leo’s interest lies in observing femininities and he has a keen ability in working with models to allow their various forms to take shape. His work is diverse and evokes feelings of vulnerability, torment and innocence alongside playfulness, beauty and joy.
Since returning to the UK last year Leo has built up a modest catalogue of work. His thoughtful use of naturist and often distorted domestic settings in working with models, adds a further dimension to his work, helping to elicit the complexities of the themes he explores.
Leo’s interest in darker subjects is complimented by his desire to explore the universality of these conditions, which can be seen in his playful use of shadow and post-production effects.
The scope present in Leo’s work speaks to his interest in diversity and appreciation of physicality and emotionality, in its various, often multi-layered, forms.

Testimonials
‘Writing an enticing site bio is always a tough prospect, positioning yourself just right as to not under, or oversell. Tony took the information I provided and by using a select combination of short, dynamic word choices immediately elevated the information and material, providing me an engaging and snappy springboard with which to greet my website visitors. A collaborative individual, Tony allowed me to edit his work, to tailor to my needs all whilst retaining his creativity and insight, I couldn’t have done it without his time and talent.’ (Chris Townsend, Script Reader/Coverage Writer)
‘Sharp as a pencil. As a fellow writer, I can only attest to the dexterity and subtleness with which Tony wields his nouns, adjectives and expletives. I would not hesitate to work with him again’ (Rob Zywietz, Director/Writer)
